Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. Please let us know if you need to know additional information:

How does the process work?
Fill out the order form with your personalized text and photos. Let us know what kind of clip art you want on your masthead, color scheme of your newsletter, quantity and payment, and we'll do the rest. From time order is placed, we will get back to you with a proof-only PDF within 3 - 5 business days. One round of corrections is allowed, unless it is an In The Newsletter error. As soon as you approve the proof, we will mail you out your newletters and you should receive them within 2 - 5
business days.

What are the prices/packages available? (Includes final PDF with each order):

What size should my pictures be?
The best format is 3 X 5 inches, 300 dpi, and saved as a TIF. If you are sending JPG's and don't know how to format your photos to 300 dpi, send them AT LEAST as large as 11 x 17 inches and 72 dpi. Don't make them too big because it could have problems being emailed.

Can you decide color and logo for me?
Yes, if you are having trouble deciding a clip art logo for your masthead or color scheme for you newsletter, we can do it for you. You may also send us your own logo.

Can you "fix" my pictures (i.e. crop, lighten/darken, etc.)?
We can do simple tasks, such as cropping photos, reducing red eye, and will do our best to make them printing perfect. However, we cannot perform miracles (i.e.: take out wrinkles, fix teeth, etc.).

Can I send you my pictures and will they be returned?
Yes, you can send pictures (as well as text, on CD) to us. We will return them when we send your newsletters. Just fill out the order form online and mention that you will be sending your photos to us directly. We will begin to process your order when we receive the photos.

What format can my text be in?
Please save you text in as a Microsoft Word file, Rich Text file, or Adobe PDF. Microsoft Publisher cannot be accepted. Please send all of your text in one file.

How much text can I use?
The more photos you use, the less text you can use. Here is a text per photo ratio:

  • 1 photo: approximately 500 words
  • 2 photos: approximately 250 - 300 words per photo
  • 3 photos: approximately 100 - 150 words per photo
  • 4 photos: approximately 50 - 100 words per photo
  • 5 photos: approximately 25 - 50 words per photo

Will you edit and spell check my text?
The only time we will edit text is if it does not fit. We will perform minor edits at that time. We will not perform a spell check, so make sure that everything is spelled correctly before sending text.

What kind of paper are the newsletters printed on?
The newsletters are printed on a high quality, heavyweight 8.5 x 11 inch glossy paper that is scored for easy folding. Mailing seals are included with each order, and you can actually send out the newsletters as is, without a envelope, with your return address and your addressee printed on the backside of the newsletter. If you prefer, you can still send your newsletter in a regular, size 10 envelope.
